Because this Spitfire came to us with the engine bay doused in underseal, we stripped it out completely and cleaned the underseal off with stripper and a wire brush on the angle grainder. Then Barcoat to cover over areas we could not get to, primer and then coats of carmine red. The suspension was rebuilt with new shock absorbers and bushes. The engine came back with new shells and a leadfree head and was 'popped back'.
The firewall was completely refurbished and a brake servo added along with new master cylinders
