Westerham Workshop was established in 2006 to restore and sell classic English sports cars, so that they can be fun to own and fun to drive. We strive to achieve a ‘just delivered’ look although where practical we will work to upgrade brakes and electrics with servos and alternators. We select our suppliers carefully, buying chrome plating on the South coast and paints from the Midlands. Our engine work is sent out, but the majority of the restoration is done in house. Once completed, cars are driven for several hundred miles to ensure that we find any faults before our buyers do. And, anyway we like to enjoy them too!
Many classic cars are available at what may appear to be bargain prices on internet sites. However we have been alarmed to find just how much can be wrong with them, even if they have an MOT certificate. In fact, every car we have bought this way has had something seriously wrong with it. Putting them right takes time, skill, outside specialists and money and so we are never able to offer our cars at cheap prices. We try to work to a standard, not a price.

Much as we love MGs, we work on other cars too. Now finshed is a Mk3 Spitfire in Carmine Red, which has a lead free head, brake servo, Kenlowe fan, walnut dashboard, double duck hood and optional hard top.

Also we have been working on our show car, a 1975 MGBGT which has been in the family for many years, and a 1937 Jowett 8hp for a private client who sadly passed away last month.

We are always interested in carrying out private commissions and offer a very peresonalised service to a small number of clients.

Waiting are another Mk3 Spitfire in white, a Frogeye Sprite and, possibly a GT6 and MGTF.

Westerham Workshop is fully insured both to cover clients' cars and faulty workmanship. We do not claim to be experts in any of the car marques we work on or offer for sale. Cars are sold on a 'as seen basis' and no warranties are offered unless purchased on a client's behalf. The cars we sell and work on are between 30 and 50 years old. We update many of the parts and extensively road test the cars, but cannot guarantee reliability.

Westerham Workshop is VAT registered and will add VAT to its prices as appropriate.
