It all started with my Morris 8 Tourer which I bought as a student in 1967 for £45. After student days, the car was stored for many years until I found the resources to rebuild it. The chassis needed welding, but apart from converting the electrics to 12 volts and a respray, the car is as original as possible.

The MGTA started out as a chassis and a box of bits, many of them nothing to do with MGs. Much time was spent acquiring parts including a new aluminium tub and bonnet. The car was finished in the Summer of '95 and I remember it went like a bat out of hell. I sold it at a Coys aution to a gentleman in Singapore as 'cheap' transport because of its historical status.

The little Spitfire was bought on Ebay and had all the characteristics one would expect of such a car, but then the MGTD was also from Ebay and I loved working on it and driving it.
